What to include in a client welcome pack

As a social media manager, a client welcome pack is one of the first impressions your client gets of working with you.

You want to get this relationship off to the right start, and a client welcome pack is a great way to set and manage expectations.

What you'll want to include:

A brief introduction on yourself and your business

You don't need to waffle on here for too long, but a few paragraphs introducing you and your business is a good way to set the scene. You can express your excitement to start working with them and include a brief description of your mission statement.

Outline project timelines

It's important to layout your project timeline here. This could be outlining the workflow process, including how you like to create reports, the frequency of the reports, how you'll be sending content, how they can review it etc. It should also outline the content creation requirements.

Repeat your services

It's not necessary but I strongly recommend including a page in the welcome pack that outlines what services you're offering this client specifically. It's about the scope of the project so everyone is clear.

Describe your office hours and policies

This includes your communication preferences, your holidays, your work hours and even your methods for sharing data. You can also outline any programs you'll be using.

It's a clear way to show clients your preferences and is an important line to draw so they don't treat you like an employee.

What you need from them

I like including this page as it will help them know what is the next step. This could be receiving the contract, sending logins, sending content etc. Include up to 5 steps here so your client knows what to do and it keeps the onboarding process flowing.
